Chalcopyrite Large Specimen with Quartz

Robust, blocky crystals of Chalcopyrite crystals cover the majority of this cabinet specimen, accompanied by colorless, prismatic Quartz crystals and groups of highly-reflective Pyrite cubes. If you look more closely at the Chalcopyrite, the crystals have a nice sub-metallic sheen that is accented by a series of subtle foil-like "creases" and a lightly textured surface that strongly glitters when viewed with additional lighting. The Chalcopyrite's signature brass-yellow color is enhanced by stretches of mild blue, purple, and red iridescence. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base. From the collection of Daniel "Dan" R.
