Description

Ex. John M. Warn collection. Ex. Nic Valenzuela collection. Between the pale green hue and transparency, this cluster of intergrown Fluorite is an excellent example of the material to come from the Xianghualing Mine. Each Fluorite cube (reaching up to 5.5 centimeters) is modified with octahedral faces along the edges, which are accented with very minor stepped growths. Covering a large portion of the specimen's underside, and included in some of the more sizable Fluorite crystals are dark grey remnants of the matrix; this darker material, along with the bottom of the Fluorite, is lightly etched and has a bright luster. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vZoB-kCbso
