This outstanding hambergite crystal from Shengus, Haramosh Mountains, Skardu District, Baltistan, Northern Areas, Pakistan, represents one of the finest examples of the species known to modern collectors. Measuring an impressive 7.0 × 2.2 × 0.2 cm, the crystal is remarkable not only for its size—exceptional for hambergite—but also for its extraordinary clarity, completeness, and preservation. The specimen is a robust, complete floater crystal, displaying sharp, well-defined terminations and an elegant lateral twin, a crystallographic feature rarely seen so clearly expressed in hambergite. The crystal is water-clear and colorless, with magnificent transparency that allows light to pass cleanly through the crystal body, highlighting internal perfection and crisp growth features. Such optical purity is extremely uncommon in this species, especially at this scale. Adding to its significance, this crystal was a former specimen in the MIM Museum, where it was held for five years as a reference-quality example of hambergite. Its selection for institutional display speaks directly to its rarity, scientific interest, and visual excellence.
