Sulfur on Celestine - Bright Yellow Crystals on Golden Prismatic Spray

A highly aesthetic small cabinet specimen of Sulfur on Celestine from the classic Machów Mine, one of Poland’s most celebrated sources for this distinctive association. The piece presents a dramatic, sculptural contrast between vivid lemon-yellow sulfur and a lustrous, soft golden celestine crystal spray. The foundation of the specimen is composed of numerous slender, sharp, prismatic celestine crystals rising in a radiating cluster. These crystals show attractive translucency, strong glassy luster, and warm champagne-golden coloration, with individual prisms reaching approximately 3.8 cm in length. Their vertical, fan-like arrangement gives the specimen excellent dimensionality and a refined architectural quality. Across the upper display face rests an abundant coverage of bright yellow sulfur crystals, measuring to approximately 6 mm across. The sulfur occurs as clustered, well-formed, lustrous crystals and crystalline aggregates, richly coating the crest of the celestine spray. The color is particularly eye-catching: saturated yellow to yellow-green in places, with a waxy to resinous luster typical of fine sulfur specimens. Dark gray matrix remnants provide additional contrast and help visually separate the sulfur from the golden celestine beneath. This is a showy and well-balanced specimen, with the sulfur attractively concentrated along the top and the celestine forming a graceful crystalline base below. The display side appears notably clean, with no major distracting damage visible in the provided images.
