Apophyllite is a hydrated potassium-calcium silicate mineral admired for its brilliant glassy to pearly luster, often transparent to translucent crystals, and distinctive pyramidal, tabular, cubic-looking, or pseudo-octahedral forms. It occurs most famously in colorless, white, pale green, and peach tones, often with attractive associations of stilbite, heulandite, calcite, or other zeolite-suite minerals.
